Lil Skies is back after a lengthy hiatus from music and social media in general after becoming a Father recently also. The Philadelphia Native is back and showing signs that he could be better than ever.

One of the first tracks is one of Lil Skies’ only features on the album which features one of his idols Wiz Khalifa, “Excite Me” is another vintage Skies song with catchy and melodic hooks that get stuck in your head and the explicit bars about there rockstar lifestyle. Wiz definitely sounded different to usual with a lot more production behind his voice in his feature so it will be interesting to see if he is switching things up for himself.

We can’t talk about Skies project and ignore the fact that Nelson, New Zealand Native LMC has again put on for the New Zealand scene with his production on “Sky High”. Sky High” is another catchy melodic skies song where he pours his heart out on the track which is followed by a complete change in tempo with the track “Mhmm” where Skies spits on the track and reminds us that he isn’t just here rapping about his feelings or singing catchy hooks.

One of the highlights of the album was “On Sight” which was released as a single before the project but this song is definitely a bit of a breath of fresh air in the current scene which is heavily rapping about drug use, money, and women but “On Sight” was different but Skies talks about stacking bread for his son and giving him a life he never had amongst his paranoia about trusting people and who he is by his side and against him.

Lil Skies has definitely made a good return with “Unbothered” expressing to us his ruthless side but also the pain of his past while inspiring us that we can also make it out of anything that we are experiencing to the cards life has dealt with us. Welcome back Lil Skies.
