Jordan Peele’s ‘Candyman’ Trailer Features Destiny’s Child’s 'Say My Name'

The first trailer for Jordan Peele’s Candyman has arrived. The two-minute clip features an eery version of Destiny’s Child’s ‘Say My Name,’ which acts as a perfect tie-in to the horror film’s supernatural murderer, who appears after Chicagoans repeat his name in the mirror. The trailer finds people daring to play the dangerous game — ultimately ending in bloodshed, similar to the original 1992 version.

Peele’s remake is described as a “spiritual sequel” to the classic and will take place in the original Chicago setting, where the infamous Cabrini-Green housing projects once stood. Candyman will star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Teyonah Parris and Nathan Stewart-Jarrett and feature an appearance by Tony Todd, who played Candyman in the original movie.

Candyman hits theatres on June 12. Watch the trailer above.
