After video model Marjorie Guaracho sued DaBaby over her performance in his September 2019 ‘Vibez’ video, he countersued for extortion; and now it looks like the lawsuit is being settled, seemingly in his favour.

After the release of the video, Guaracho hired lawyers to send out a cease and desist letter, accusing Baby and his label Interscope of using her likeness and making it appear that she “endorses pornography.” She sued for $75,000 in punitive damages and attorney fees.

Subsequently, Baby countersued, demanding the model sign away her rights, and requesting she pay damages for allegedly trying to extort him. Currently, the judge presiding has yet to sign off on the settlement, which notes she signed a release and was paid.

Additionally, documents state, “The essence of the settlement is that the Plaintiffs have full and complete rights with respect to Plaintiff’s image and likeness in connection with the video entitled ‘Vibez’ One of the conditions to the settlement is the entry of an order confirming the settlement, acknowledging the Plaintiffs possess all of the Defendant’s rights with respect to the Video.“Furthermore, back in September, the model, along with over 40 other girls, were hired in Miami by a casting company, informed of the video concept, given release forms and paid $100. A final word on the settlement awaits.
