It's been over a year since we got a project from Playboi Carti. That might change soon, as it sounds like the "Magnolia" rapper will be joining forces with Trippie Redd for a new EP.

Trippie revealed the news on Instagram on Sunday (July 7). The Ohio rhymer posted the cover art for a new single with Iann Dior titled "Gone Girl."

"Me and my bro @ianndior gunna be applying pressure for a lot more years to come," he wrote in the caption. "COMMENT 'gone' if u want us to release a EP together."

One fan had other ideas. "Nah we want that EP with Carti first," the person commented.

"Sooner than later," Redd responded.

This news comes on the heels of Trippie revealing that his new album, possibly titled !, is nearly completed and will also feature Carti.

"It's pretty much done," Trippie recently said about the project. "I've pretty much got the concepts for lots of videos and shit. I'm trying to be visual with this one. Right now I'm just finishing up little features and stuff. I got to go pick up on The Game later and probably have him on it. I got Carti on it. Playboi Carti. It's [an] exclamation mark."

Playboi Carti has been keeping it more low-key than fans would like and hasn't released a lot of material recently, unless you count the leaking of several songs on the internet last month. Most recently, he appeared on Tyler, The Creator's single "Earfquake" in May.
